Hi my name is Andrea and I am a lab manager at the Callier Center in Dallas.

I just want to give out some information about our research project we are running here at the Callier Center in Dallas. I just want to spread the word and if you are interested feel free to contact me. I am not trying to sell anything I just think this could be an enriching experience for your families to come experience a live experiment.

The study is called PALM (Pediatric Attention Language and Memory) Project. This project is a large NIH funded multi-site research study and we are looking at how attention and memory influence language comprehension in children between the ages of 7-11. Participation involves three visits to our lab at Callier Center Dallas that are around 2 hours each. Your child will be working 1-on-1 with our research and will be asked to complete a series of different computer tasks and standardized assessment measures which are designed to assess speaking, listening, memory, and attention skills to learn how these impact children's language abilities.

For participating the students will get $25.00 per visit and results of the study (per request), and complimentary parking at the Callier Center in Dallas. If you have any questions feel free to email us.

This study can give us insight on how children process language and the information collected will help us find solutions or children with learning disabilities.

If you would like more information please visit our website at http://tdlc.calit2.net/palm-study.php or you could email me at palm@utdallas.edu
